Because me and Grandad dug a lot of potatoes from the allotment and I wanted to do something different with them
How to make allotment fishcake
Boil potatoes until soft then cool and peel of skins with your fingers
Smash the potatoes up with a masher
Mix in the lemon juice, fish, chives and vegetables.
Roll them into balls in your handsthen roll in breadcrumbs
Prepare baking tray with oil on it
Put rolled mash mixture on baking sheet and squash into a patty
Cook in preheated over at 190c for 10 minutes. Turn fishcakes over then cook for a further 10 minutes.
I had mine with tomatoes and beans from the allotment but you could serve with any veg or salad
