Spaghetti Bolognese

Ingredients

500g mince (5% fat)
1 onion, chopped
2 400g cans chopped tomatoes
1 tbsp dried basil
2 tbsp tomato puree
2 beef oxo cubes
2 tbsp woucestershire sauce
freshly ground black pepper to taste

Why did Arran make this dish?

It's my favourite dish and I was cooking for the family.

How to make Spaghetti Bolognese

1. In a large frying pan brown the mince. Once browned add the chopped onion and cook until soft. Sprinkle over the oxo cubes and basil and then mix in the tomatoes, puree,woucestershire sauce and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes.

2. Meanwhile bring a large saucepan of water to the boil. Take 50-75g spaghetti per person and cook in the boiling water for 10-12 minutes (according to the packaging).

3. Drain and serve with a large spoonful of bolognese.
