How to make Sausage ‘cakes’
Roll out puff pastry until it is about 3mm thick. Cut out little circles of pastry and place them on a baking tray lined with baking parchment.
Cut the smoked sausage up into slices about 5 mm thick.
Brush beaten egg on to each pastry circle. Place a sausage slice on each one and top with grated cheese.
Bake at 220°C, gas mark 8 for 15 mins until cheese is melted and golden and the pastry is puffy and crisp.
